How Everpop picks your clips
What the engine looks at, the clip styles you can ask for, how long clips run and how long a render takes.
What it looks at
Everpop reads the whole video before it picks anything:
- a word-by-word transcript of everything said;
- the audio energy of each moment, measured against the rest of the video;
- the frames themselves, rated by an AI model that looks at the picture;
- then a two-stage pick: a wide list of candidate moments, and a final choice that writes the hook.
Each clip is meant to open on its hook and end on its payoff. A video with no speech is cut from its sound and picture instead, without captions.
Want a particular topic? Describe it in "What should the short be about?" when you start a render, or leave it empty and let Everpop choose.
The picker doesn't learn from how your earlier Shorts performed: each video is judged on what is in it.
Clip styles
- Top moments: the strongest single moments, one clip each (the default).
- Summary: several moments stitched into one montage.
- Punch: one rapid-fire reel.
- One of each: one clip in every style.
Summary and Punch always make one clip, whatever count you ask for.
How many clips, and how long
- Your first video (free): up to 3 clips.
- Starter: 3 clips from every video.
- Pro: up to 10 clips from every video.
- Scale: up to 15 clips from every video.
Clip length is Auto unless you pick a target. Auto adapts to the moment — usually about 30 to 45 seconds. In the editor a Short can run from 4 seconds to 3 minutes.
How long a render takes
Once clipping starts, it usually takes 5–15 minutes — sometimes up to ~40. You can leave the page while it runs. We'll email you when your Shorts are ready.
Every clip arrives as a draft. Nothing is posted until you publish it, unless you switch on Autopilot on Pro or Scale.
