Why a render made fewer Shorts

The honest reasons a video can give fewer clips than your plan allows, and what to try next.

Fewer is on purpose

Your plan's clips-per-video number is a ceiling, not a promise. Everpop would rather give you fewer clips than pad the count with repeats or cut a sentence off halfway. When a render makes fewer, the Videos page says which of these happened:

  • The video is too short for more Shorts at the length you chose. A shorter clip length leaves room for more.
  • The video had fewer strong moments that fit — or fewer that fit your prompt. A broader prompt, or none, gives the picker more to work with.
  • Your earlier Shorts from this video already use the rest of it.
  • A moment had no clean ending. Everpop leaves a moment out rather than cut it off mid-sentence.
  • Two picks overlapped, so the weaker one was dropped.

Summary and Punch are one clip by design, so they never count as "fewer".

What to try

  • Re-clip: it picks different moments each time.
  • Choose a shorter clip length, or a different style.
  • Open a clip in the editor and set the exact start and end you want.
  • Upload a longer cut of the video, if you have one.

Does it count against my plan?

A completed render uses one video from your allowance, even if it made fewer clips than you hoped, or you later discard them all.

If you render it again and nothing new is left, it reuses a moment you already clipped and marks it as a repeat. Once a month per video, a render like that, or one whose clips all end on a held final frame, doesn't use a video from your allowance; later ones do.
