When a render fails

What a failed render costs you (nothing from your allowance), what to try, and how to tell us.

Nothing is lost

If a render fails, your video stays in your library and the render doesn't use a video from your monthly allowance. When Everpop knows what went wrong, the render card says so in plain words.

For your free first video: it stays free, so you can try again, up to 5 attempts. If those all failed on our end, email support and we'll look into it.

What to try

Start on the render card: press Try again. If the same thing would fail again, the card offers Start a new render instead. When the card names a reason, it also says what to do. Two you may see:

  • "We couldn't decode this recording reliably. Export a new H.264 MP4 and upload it again."
  • "This render ran past our time limit, so it stopped before finishing. If the video is long, trim it to the part you want."

Still failing? Press Report a problem on the card: it sends us the details, so you don't have to describe them.

What does count

A render that completes uses one video from your allowance, even if you discard every clip it made. In the editor, the first 3 re-renders of each clip are free; each one after that uses one video.
