# Trim a clip, add music or change its size

> Quick changes to a finished clip: each one takes about a minute and lands as a new clip, so your original stays.

## Trim or add music

1. Open the clip and choose Edit.
2. Drag the handles to cut the start or the end.
3. Pick a track if you want music. Press Hear to listen first, then choose how loud it sits under the voice.
4. Press Render this edit.

The tracks are Everpop's own, made for sitting under speech. Your captions and framing stay exactly as they are. These edits come with a plan.

## Another size or file

Export makes a new version at 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 or 16:9. The whole picture stays, over a soft blurred background, and the captions come with it. To crop again from your original video instead, use Customize & make again under Edit, where a clip offers it.

If you change nothing, Export simply offers the finished MP4 to download.

## What happens next

The clip page tells you when your edit is ready and links straight to it. It also lands in your Library as a new clip, and the clip you started from never changes.

Trims, music and new sizes don't use a video from your allowance. You can make up to 30 of them from one clip a day.

Changing captions, framing or the hook is a fresh render instead, where a clip offers it, and takes a few minutes. The first 3 re-renders of each clip are free; each one after that uses one video.
